These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Africa Geek Circle Network corporate website. By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to enter into a contract with us. If you use the website for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it.

Additional terms, registration conditions, engagement letters, event rules or platform policies may apply to The Geek Circle, Founders Summit, Seed, AGCN Advisory or a specific service. If those terms conflict with these general website Terms, the terms written for that service or activity take priority.

Africa Geek Circle Network, Inc. is a Delaware corporation and the parent company of Africa Geek Circle Network Ltd in Nigeria. Together, we are a media, community, technology and advisory business serving African founders and the wider startup ecosystem.

Our current ecosystem includes The Geek Circle, Founders Summit, Seed and AGCN Advisory. This website introduces those services and gives people a way to contact our team.

Website content is provided for general information. It is not a binding offer, investment recommendation, legal opinion, financial advice or guarantee of any opportunity, partnership, event, service, funding outcome or commercial result.

You must use the website lawfully and responsibly. You must not:

• Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory or misleading purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, systems, accounts, source code or data.

Third-party names, logos and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

When you submit an enquiry, application, startup profile, founder story, pitch, event material or other content, you confirm that:

• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and you are authorised to provide it.
• The content does not infringe another person’s rights, breach confidentiality or violate the law.
• You will not submit sensitive, confidential or proprietary information unless it is genuinely required and an appropriate arrangement is in place.

You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, review, copy and use it as needed to respond to your request, provide the relevant service or meet our legal obligations. If material is intended for publication, promotion or an event, that permission also covers the agreed public use, editing and distribution of the material.

The Geek Circle

Editorial content, interviews and live conversations may contain the views of founders, guests, contributors or third parties. Those views are their own and do not necessarily represent Africa Geek Circle Network.

Founders Summit

Event programmes, speakers, venues, schedules, access arrangements and benefits may change. Each edition may have its own ticket, participation, safety, refund or sponsor terms. Attendees must follow reasonable venue and organiser instructions.

Seed

Startup information is generally supplied by founders or authorised representatives. Interested parties are responsible for their own verification, due diligence, professional advice, negotiations and decisions. Any engagement or transaction takes place independently outside the platform.

AGCN Advisory

Advisory work is governed by the proposal, engagement letter or other agreement issued for that project. General website content is not a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances. Unless a written agreement expressly says otherwise, AGCN is not acting as a law firm, accounting firm, broker or investment adviser.

The website may link to external websites, social networks, ticketing providers, event partners, payment providers or other third-party services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, terms or privacy practices.

A link, mention, feature or listing does not automatically mean that we endorse or guarantee the third party, its products, services, founders or claims.

Charges for tickets, advisory projects or other paid services will be set out before purchase or in the relevant agreement. A third-party payment provider may process payment under its own terms and privacy notice.

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every item will always be complete, current or error-free.

We may update, suspend, remove or change website content, features and links without notice. We may also take the website offline for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons.

If your unlawful use of the website, your submitted material or your breach of these Terms causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to be responsible for the resulting reasonable losses and costs to the extent permitted by law.

Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms and non-contractual disputes relating to this corporate website are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

A separate agreement or platform-specific policy may choose another governing law for a particular event, service, contract or transaction. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights in your location still apply where they cannot lawfully be excluded.

If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. We may revise these Terms when our website, services or legal obligations change. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply from the date stated above.
